Session 1: Mental Health Awareness - Learning Objectives
• Encourage more confidence talking about mental health
• Improve understanding of stigma and its impacts
• Raise awareness of different types of mental health conditions
• Give information about the support available
Session 2: Supporting Your Team - Learning Objectives
• Look at the protective and risk factors around mental health for staff
• Consider what a team ‘culture’ is and the impact having a wellbeing focus can have on staff self-efficacy, performance, health and enjoyment of work
• Reflect on how we can build a resilient team through role modelling wellness and empowering staff
• Share ideas for incorporating conversations about wellbeing into everyday business

This programme will be designed to take a whole organisation approach on the subject of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It aims to promote awareness of best practice, make clear the organisations policies and strategies and to empower people to take inclusion in their own hands and shape the environment they wish to work in. It is a programme for all employees regardless of their position and this in itself works as a catalyst for immediate inclusiveness.
PROGRAMME OUTLINE:
Ø What is unconscious bias, where does it comes from and why we all have it.
Ø Identify how unconscious bias can affect individuals and the impact it can have in the workplace.
Ø Discuss strategies that participants can implement to overcome unconscious bias, both as individuals and as part of the Club.
The negative effects of exclusion in the workplace through unconscious and conscious bias.
Understanding how our mindset is influenced by others
Stereotypes, attitudes, and assumptions
Behaviours that determine how we interact with others
Strategies for being inclusive and how to apply them
The power and impact of a diverse and inclusive workplace
