Catherine was appointed Chair of CMAE England in June 2025, having served on the Board for four years. She is the first female Secretary of one of the world’s most prestigious private members’ clubs, The Athenaeum in London. Since her graduation in hospitality in Ireland and further studies at international institutions, Catherine gained extensive experience in all areas of hospitality before joining her first club, the Kildare Street and University Club as their Club Secretary.

With a background in kinesiology and education, Brad joined the golf industry in 2007 after moving to the UK from his native Canada. He started the CMAE educational pathway in 2021 and swiftly completed his diploma in Club Management a year later. In March 2024, Brad left his role as Director of Golf at The Grove to become Managing Director at the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa. Brad heads up CMAE England's educational arm and is a firm believer in the educational pathway available to club leaders of both the present and future.

Andrew Johnson

Andrew started his career in hospitality as Trainee Manager at Boodle’s in St James’s Street. He spent 14 years gaining valuable experience before moving to the City of London Club as House Manager. During this time, the Club embarked on an extensive refurbishment plan and coped with the turmoil of Covid. After six years at the City Andrew moved back across London to the heart of the West End, joining the In & Out Club as Director of Operations.

Mark Duncalf

Having studied Golf Management (BA Hons) and Sports Business Management (Masters), Mark has specialised in golf, with roles at Wallasey Golf Club and Royal Lytham and St Anne's before moving to Fairhaven Golf Club in his native Southport. He is passionate about delivering impeccable customer service and consumer experience for members and visitors. Mark joined the CMAE England Board in 2023 to help with the network's expansion in the north of the country.

Heather Moran

La Moye Golf Club

Originally hailing from Ireland, Heather spent the early part of her career working in portfolio compliance and credit risk management in Dublin, before becoming clubhouse manager of Hale Golf Club in Manchester. She joined La Moye Golf Club in the same role in 2019, before earning promotion to GM in June 2023. Heather joined the CMAE England Board in 2024.

Matt Mayfield

Harewood Downs Golf Club

Matt has been in the golf industry since 2009, having graduated from Leeds University. He had management roles at Forest Hill Golf & Conference Centre and Crown Golf before joining Harewood Downs in Buckinghamshire in 2019. Matt joined the CMAE England Board in 2024.

Debora Drago

Roehampton Club

 

Debora became the first woman from Italy to achieve CCM status - and only the fourth in Europe - in 2024. Having worked her way up the hospitality ladder in various hotel and club roles, she joined Roehampton Club's leadership team in 2022, helping deliver a premier experience to members. Debora is inspired to support the next generation of club leaders and joined the Board in June 2025.

John Dry

Broadstone Golf Club

Jon qualified as a PGA professional and had roles at the prestigious Queenwood and Bearwood Lakes Golf Club early in his career. After a spell at Fulford GC in York, he became GM at Broadstone Golf Club in Dorset in January 2022, joining CMAE England at the same time. He was appointed to the Board in June 2025.

Matt Lavington
Board Member

Surbiton Golf Club

Matt began his career with the Goodwood Group, joining as a golf operations assistant and rising through the ranks to deputy general manager over the course of nine years. In May 2025 he moved to Surbiton Golf Club for his first GM role. Matt leads CMAE England's Young Managers' Group, for current, emerging and aspiring club managers aged 35 and under.
